Sunday School
We offer classes for 0-3 years old, Pre-K - 1st Grade, and Grades 2-5. The classes meet at 9:30am in the Children’s Wing.
We strive to accomplish three basic purposes: first, to lay foundations for a child to accept Jesus Christ as Savior; second, to guide children in developing Christlikeness; and third, to prepare children for a life of service.
Children’s Worship
During a designated time in the worship service, children ages 4 through 5th grade are invited to join Children’s Worship in the children’s wing. We play games, sing songs, and have an age-appropriate lesson that mirrors the sermon. We will also learn a hymn that will be sung in the service in a few weeks. Our goal is to bridge the gap between Children’s Worship and worship in the sanctuary. By aligning our Scripture with the main service and learning classic hymns, we hope to prepare your children for a lifetime of worship!
Wednesdays
The Gathering : 6-7 pm Youth Suite
Our goals for our Wednesday Gathering is not to have another class. This unique format where all ages are grouped into houses allows us time to grow in fellowship and relationships, grow in knowledge and passion for God’s work and receive direct pastoral care. Hands on missions projects are also important. One example is packing over 100 lunches for the homeless once a quarter.
Our Focus and Commitment to Children
Our mission is to join with our families as we seek to raise children and youth in the community of faith, and equip them for the Christian life.
Safety
We are committed to providing a safe environment for children. We want them to be safe and feel safe. Parents should be confident that their child is well cared for during any of our programs. For this reason, we run a background check on every volunteer/teacher every 5 years. There are always two adults from different family units with children at all times.
Fun
We want children to enjoy coming to church. We believe that creating a safe and fun environment for kids will help them learn more about Jesus. We use games, crafts, and creative stories to communicate the message.
Truth
We want children to learn about Jesus. Lessons about Christ and the Bible will be age-appropriate and help them understand God’s love and plan for their lives.
